DuPage Veterans Foundation

We are proud to announce our newly formed 501c3 not for profit organization

DuPage Veterans Foundation

Established with all of the thanks and gratitude owed to our men and woman of the United States Military.

Our organization began when a small but dedicated group of individuals set out to hold a charitable event to fund a flight for our WWII veterans through a wonderful non-profit organization, Honor Flight Chicago. An evolution took place as interest from the DuPage community heightened and more and more individuals came forward who shared the common sentiment that our military deserve our appreciation and our support. With such enthusiasm, and significant need, the DuPage Veterans Foundation was developed to broaden the scope of assistance to all of our veterans.

Our first event in 2012 was a huge success!  We were able to complete our mission by raising enough money to fund a flight for our WWII veterans through Honor Flight Chicago.  We also were very proud to recognize by roll call each of the over 100 WWII veterans that joined us as our very special honorees at the event.  This year, we also welcome Korean War Veterans as part of this special day.  Our Second annual fundraiser will take place Saturday, May 4, 2013, once again in a hangar at the DuPage Airport.  The “Legacy Girls” will be back to perform period music, Steve Sanders of WGN will emcee, and we will again have an array of military vehicles, and if good weather permits, WWII aircraft for viewing.  But most importantly, you will enjoy lunch with your WWII and Korean War Veterans. Take this unique opportunity to thank them in person, ask questions, and hear their incredible stories. Please join us in our fundraising effort for Honor Flight Chicago and send our heroes to Washington, D.C. for a day of honor and reflection at the war memorials.
